Matching Funds: Highland County Homeless Shelter

Throughout the month of November, RiverHills Bank teamed up with Highland County Homeless Shelter on a matching funds campaign.

Every donation made to the shelter last month was matched, dollar for dollar, by RiverHills Bank, up to $1000.

Our Affordable Housing VP, Kim Banks, went to the shelter Wednesday morning to present their check. These funds will be used to ease the growing needs of the population in and around Highland County affected by homelessness. Funds were still pouring in from the community days afterwards, but we received word that the official total was $3,505!! We are so excited we were able to meet our goal, and so humbled to be able to aid the shelter in such a big way! This time of year is especially difficult on anyone struggling with homelessness. We hope these funds will positively affect a large majority of the 100+ individuals the shelter assists each year.
