Home with a History

Thanks to good bones and good partners, the previously vacant Lima First National Bank & Trust building has been restored and revamped. The building has been closed and laid empty since the 90’s. With the help of RiverHills Bank, Woda Cooper Companies, Ohio Housing Finance Agency, and all of the other wonderful project partners, the building is now home to over 50 residents.

This is another Affordable Housing project made possible by RiverHills Bank financing, low incoming housing grants, historic preservation tax credits, and more. 43 Town Square offers 47 new apartments with open concept design, modern finishes and fully-equipped kitchens with ENERGY STAR appliances, including dishwashers. The new property was designed to meet Enterprise Green Communities certification standards to assure excellent energy efficiency. There are seven units with ADA features for those with physical disabilities and three for those with sight or hearing impairments. It takes a village to get every moving piece in position for projects like this one to come together. We appreciate everyone who did their part to bring this project to completion.

Affordable housing for workforce families is in short supply throughout the state and in Lima. 43 Town Square offers a new option, along with connection to local community resources and agencies through nonprofit West Ohio Community Action Partnership (WOCAP).

The old First National Bank & Trust Building once represented disinvestment in the downtown but now it is a symbol of progress as this classic, historic building is now a place for families to live and enjoy all that our downtown has to offer.
