Scott McDowell River Run 5K

This year’s race was really a true testament of some amazing community collaboration! The Scott McDowell River Run usually kicks off Saturday’s River Days events in New Richmond. With River Days being moved this year, we really needed all hands on deck to make this event the success that it was!

The whole community stepped up. Many local businesses donated prizes and Rivertown IGA contributed water and breakfast items for runners. RiverHills Bank volunteers helped register all participating runners. The New Richmond Police, Fire and EMS Departments and the Village Street Department helped with barricades and traffic control. Volunteers from all over the county help monitor the course and give out water.

There were almost 200 runners this year, and all proceeds will go to The Boys & Girls Club of Clermont County! Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, registered, directed, hydrated, and helped with the events Saturday morning!
