Carpenter Hall
Carpenter Hall is an apartment community originally constructed in Athens, OH in the 1980’s. The original layout had a mix of 50 studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The newly renovated Carpenter Hall now has a total of 53 units, providing affordable housing to three additional seniors, families, or individuals who qualify.
Along with the beautiful interior renovations Carpenter Hall underwent, Passion Works Studio artists also created an amazing, eye-catching mural that adorns the outside wall of the building. The art installation can be seen in the background of the images below.
We would like to thank Doug Klingensmith and the RiverHills Bank Affordable Housing Department for their work in providing part of the funding for the renovations. The Ohio Housing Finance Agency, Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH), Passion Works, Finance Fund, and the City of Athens are also all pinnacle pieces to this project’s success.
“Carpenter Hall has been a part of uptown Athens for many years,” said Kevin Gillespie, executive director of Integrated Services for Behavioral Health. “Now, residents can enjoy newly renovated apartments while the entire community can share the experience of another lovely Passion Works creation – all part of what makes Athens such a great place to live, work and play.”
