Reserve at Mount Gilead Grand Opening
RiverHills Bank proudly supports another Affordable Housing Project. Through partnership with Fairfield Homes, RiverHills Bank was able to provide a $7,800,000 Construction Loan, $2,175,000 Perm Loan.
Millie Hurtt, VP, Development Officer at RiverHills Bank, represented the bank at the grand opening of The Reserve at Mount Gilead, a new 47-unit affordable senior housing community in Mount Gilead, Ohio. The celebration brought together key partners who made the project possible.
In her remarks, Hurtt emphasized RiverHills Bank’s commitment to the community, saying, “The Reserve at Mount Gilead represents our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for seniors right here in Mount Gilead. This project is more than just housing; it’s a place where seniors can connect, find comfort, and build new friendships. We’re proud to be part of an effort that will make a lasting impact in this community.”
Jennifer Gorsuch, President and CEO of Fairfield Homes and Gorsuch Construction, also highlighted the importance of collaboration, saying, “These 47 units of new construction at The Reserve at Mount Gilead enhance the existing community in Morrow County, fulfilling a critical need for housing that would not have been possible without the support of our valued partners.”
The Reserve at Mount Gilead is a new, age-restricted community offering 47 affordable residences for individuals aged 55 and older. This three-story building includes 35 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments, each featuring Energy Star appliances, washer/dryer hookups, walk-in closets, and vinyl plank flooring. Common areas include a community lounge, kitchenette, laundry room, storage, and leasing office. The development meets sustainability standards with a green certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Located within a mile of essential services, The Reserve addresses the need for affordable senior housing in Mount Gilead and Morrow County. In partnership with United Church Homes and Seniors on Center, it also offers on-site services like wellness coordination, meals, medical assistance, and transportation.
